Our Mission
Our mission is to prepare high school students to pursue a postsecondary degree in STEM, develop bilingualism, immerse themselves in work force readiness, and experience education abroad.
TRIO Upward Bound program is a U.S. Department of Education Federal grant administered by the Center for College Access and Success of Northeastern Illinois University.
TRIO UB at NEIU serves 60 students from five Chicago Public Schools. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education

TRIO UB at NEIU is a network member of the STEM PUSH Network, which supports pre-college STEM programs in strengthening how we serve students and work with admissions offices to pioneer a new way for pre-college programs to carry weight in admissions processes.
